Retiree Annual Party, September 9, 2016
It's time to think about the annual retiree
party. Hope to see you there! The steak dinner is scheduled for
4:00 pm with the meeting starting at 3:30 p.m. There will be a light
lunch available at noon.
The White Deer hunting camp located in
northwestern Huntingdon County will be open at
10:00 a.m. for
early arrivals. There will be a camp tour of various food plots for deer and
discussion on pond management. We will be the offering an opportunity to
participate in some shooting sports and equestrian activities (horse
shoes). The evening will cap off with a bon fire as the sun goes down if
there is enough indicating they plan to stay. Mark Theiss will be offering a
discussion for professional development on the "Capital Campaign". All
are encouraged to participate in the discussion and learning opportunity.
All active Agriculture and 4-H agents and
specialists are invited and encouraged to attend. (Retirees, please
make a special effort to invite active current Agriculture extension workers to
attend). The party will be held at White Deer hunting camp two miles
from Mooresville. The approaches to the camp are: Route 26 from
State College to the Huntingdon side of Pine
Grove Mills mountain, then take Charter Oak Road to Mooresville and turn right
on Play House Road, turn left on Eberly Road and then right on White Deer
Road. Approaching from Route 22, take Route 305 from Alexandria to

We will have a professional development
opportunity in the evening for active educators that qualifies for update
training. There will be a "brief" meeting before dinner, come
prepared to discuss pertinent issues for the good of the cause. Bring up
names of people who should be attending but are not. It may be a
shortcoming of our mailing list. It always needs updated regarding
additions and deletions.
Cooks must have your reservation by August
25th. Please fill out the form below and mail with your check payable to
Lynn Hoffman. Thank you and see you at White Deer. (Bring a lawn
chair). Note Lynn’s change of address!!!

name dropped. It will save us the postage and other costs. If you
receive this notice by U.S. mail but have an email address, please send it to
Lynn Hoffman at ldh3@psu.edu. If you know Extension retirees who do not get
this notice, invite them, they are welcome. We do not send notices to
those who never attend. Please email Lynn or Del Voight (delvoight@gmail.com)
your plans to attend if you cannot get this in the mail and or it is easier for
you to do. We can collect the fee when you arrive.
